Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born on March 4, 1954. She is a comedian actor, writer, and actress. O'Hara is the proud recipient of several awards, including the Genie Award. She was named an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was honored with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara made her name as an actress when she was a part of 1974 of The Second City, an improvisational comedy troupe based in Toronto. Together with John Candy and Dan Aykroyd, she was part the main team of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara, Candy, and Dan Aykroyd started work in Second City Television's sketch comedy show (1976-1984). O'Hara received praise for her comic writing and acting skills and was awarded an Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writer for a Variety Series in 1982. O'Hara was a member of the newly formed Second City artistic Advisory Board, which was led by Stephen Colbert. Other members of the board included Dwayne Colbert. Tina Fey. Keegan–Michael Key.
